Its hard being a child sometimes

Written by mummybird. Posted in The Birds

Last night me and Little Bird took Big Bird to Brownies, on the drive home Little Bird was telling me that he did not want to go this weekend to stay with his Father. I have been having difficulties getting him to go for a few weeks now and last nights conversation in the car really upset me and bought me to tears. Little Bird told me that he doesn’t want to go to his Fathers house anymore, I told him Dad missed him and loves him (all the right things you have to say to a child as a single parent) but he was still adamant that he wants to stay with me.

Little Bird said ” I will miss you when I am at Dads.” I told him its ok to miss me and that I would miss him too, then I explained that he spends more time with me than his Father and asked him if he misses him. To which he replied “I miss Dad but I will miss you more, why can’t dad live with us?” I explained that his Father left us and would not be returning to the family home and he said “I know he will not be coming home but I just wish he would.” I got a bit upset at this point, good job it was dark because my little man did not notice.

Kurio 10S

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Toys, Review - Video Games

A few months ago we were sent the Kurio 10S to review, we have all been testing it for you so we can give you our feedback. Firstly I would like to say that getting on the Kurio 10S to play was a difficult task for me, the children love it and would only let me watch when it first arrived. I had to be sneaky to get my go in when the children were either at school or asleep but slowly I managed to work my way around it all.

Welcome to Day 2 of Mummy Bird’s Series 9 Moshi Countdown. Yesterday was the launch of my countdown and I was surprised just how much interest it created on my blog. All you Moshi Monster fans out there seem very intrigued about the new characters from Vivid. My children have been really excited because they got their hands on the Series 9 Moshi’s before they hit the shops. I have them under lock and key and with strict instructions they will not leave our house until the official launch date on the 14th February 2014.

Big Bird gets a Hamster

Written by mummybird. Posted in The Birds

On Saturday I took Big Bird on a very special trip, we were on a mission to find the perfect hamster as our family pet. Big Bird has been desperate for a pet for as long as I can remember and I decided last week that I would get her a hamster. When I told her she was so excited and couldn’t wait to pick one. I had been poorly all week so she had to wait a few days until I was better and on Saturday morning I was woken up by a very excited little girl at 7am asking if I was ready to go to the pet shop. I managed to hold Big Bird off until 10am, then we jumped in the car and headed to the next village to purchase our new furry friend. Big Bird was adamant she wanted a female hamster, so the hunt was on.
