Maya The Bee on DVD

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - DVD's

Join Maya The Bee and friends on digital download and DVD as it hits the shops tomorrow. Maya is a busy little bee, ready to leave her hive and live in the meadow. The world is just too big and too fascinating to remain confined to the restricted life of the hive. But soon Maya realises that a bigger challenge beckons and that together with her friend Willy, she must return and save their hive from the greedy queen’s advisor and end the long-term hostility between bees and hornets. This is your chance to join Maya and her friends as they set off on their “un-bee-lievable” adventures.

Disney Frozen Sing-A-Long Elsa

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Toys

When the Frozen film first came out Mr M and myself took all of the children to the cinema to watch it. It was a film that we all throughly enjoyed, the magic of the film on the big screen couldn’t help but melt all of our hearts. When it came out on DVD we purchased it and its one film that the children have watched over and over again. We love the humour in the film its for both children and adults, it has to be one of my favourite childrens films.

Candy Craft Chocolate Pen

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Arts and Crafts, Review - Food and Drink

Last week Big Bird and myself decided to join in with the celebrations over social media sites for #Nationalchocolateweek. We were sent a lovely parcel to help us on our way, the parcel contained a Candy Craft Chocolate Pen and some packs of yummy chocolate. It didn’t take me and Big Bird long to dive into the box and start melting down the chocolate so we could design our own chocolates using the chocolate pen.

Crocs for all of the Family

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Clothing

There is nothing my family loves more than wearing a new pair of shoes or boots, especially Big Bird she is a very independent 10 years old who loves fashion and picking her own clothes and shoes. I like seeing her dress herself, she has a good eye for what looks good on her. Two weeks ago my family received a very welcomed parcel from Crocs. I did not know what was coming, I just knew that they would definitely fit the children, Mr M and myself.

Our latest Lego challenge landed on our doorstep last week, I knew what was going to arrive but Little Bird didn’t and I couldn’t wait to see his face. On Wednesday the postman delivered a very special Scooby Doo themed package and my Little Lego builders face was a picture, he has not seen the Lego Scooby range before and was really excited when he saw it, he couldn’t wait to get on and start building it.

At the beginning of September we were part of the #ForceFriday team that were helping to promote the New Star Wars Lego sets that are out in the shops to buy now. The launch day was Friday 4th September and the children were promised a parcel would arrive to the door before 9am. They were both really excited to see what they were about to receive and at 7.30am when they heard a knock they both ran to the door.

Lego 42043 Technic Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Lego

As you probably already know we have the best job in the world working with Lego. We love it, it’s opened up a whole new world for my family as we have attended some fantastic Lego blogging events, had VIP trips to Legoland every year and then there is building their new products just as they are about to hit the shops.

Little Bird started building Lego just before he was four years old and it didn’t take long before he was building sets designed for children aged 6 – 8years old plus. My mighty four year old was building sets solo using the manuals and to my surprise he didn’t seem to be making any mistakes. Little Bird is Autistic and seemed to enjoy throwing himself into his Lego, I started to notice that the Lego was his escape, it was where he could relax and be at peace whilst building.

We are lucky because we get send lots of Lego products to review and each one I try and do something different with. I try to make it a challenge for Little Bird as I sit him down and set his mission. Three weeks ago we were given a pretty spectacular mission that came in a huge box which was nearly as big as Little Bird. That mission was to build a Lego Technic Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245, when I showed Little Bird he was amazed at what was inside the box. I knew he was desperate to build it but it is designed for children aged 11-16 years old so I knew it was more for me and Mr M to build.
