Gtech Cordless Lawn Mower

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Home and Garden, The Birds

You know Summer is on its way when the grass in your garden is up to your knees and you have to blow the cobwebs off your lawnmower and put it into action. I was late cutting my grass last year and decided this year I was going to be on top of it early. The weather this year has been strange to say the least. We had daffodiles popping up in January and everything seemed to peek early. Our grass has got a mind of its own and decided in February to have a spurt on and start growing. You know what its like once you have made that first cut, it just doesn’t stop after that.

Gtech Multi Mk.2

Living in a five bedroom house comes at a cost and I am not talking about money. I am talking about time that I spend cleaning it, because its a big house it means I spend many hours each week cleaning all of our three floors. As soon as I have cleaned the house from top to bottom the children normally follow me around trashing it behind me. When we have all of the children home at a weekend I can spend most of my time when I am not entertaining them picking up and cleaning after them. So image my excitement when I got the opportunity to review the new Gtech Multi, I have been putting it through it paces the last few weeks and here is how I got on.

Breville Halo+ Health Fryer

I have always been abit of a goddess in the kitchen, I take after my mother with that one and have always cooked for myself and the children homemade dinners using fresh vegetables and meat. From the moment my children started weaning onto food I started cooking for them and I pride myself on the fact that neither of my children have ever had one jar of baby food. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with giving babies jars of baby food it just wasn’t for me, I just couldn’t wait to cook fresh dinners for my babies. They have grown up having homemade food every night and I am so proud of them because both children are pretty good eaters and will try anything.

Hooded Owls have bath time wrapped up

I don’t know about you but I love nothing more than a nice thick fluffy warm towel when I get out of the bath, because there really is nothing quite like the comfort and smell of a fresh quality towel to wrap around your clean body. When the children were tiny I loved wrapping them up in a fluffy towel after their bath, I used to enjoy sitting with them snuggling, until they had dried off.

I have always been a massive fan of photography. My Grandad was a photographer, he used to develop his own photographs at home so I guess it was always going to be in my blood from him. I received my first camera when I was about 10 years old, I can still remember it now it was a Canon Sureshot in bright red, I took it everywhere with me and my love for taking photos began.

At the beginning of August the Bird family went on their first camping trip. Three months ago me and Mr M found a 8 man tent cheap in a clearance shop and decided to take all of the children camping. I am not normally a camping kind of girl because I like my home comforts to much but once we bought the tent I started to look forward to it.

A few months ago we where sent the Yvolution A3 Air Y Fliker to review and I do not know who was more excited me or the children. It arrived whilst the children were at school so how could I refuse putting it together and taking it for a spin around the block whilst they were out. I was eager to see how this worked, I had seen a few children on them at school but wanted to get to grips with it with out the children around.

Ferplast Hamster Duo Cage

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Home and Garden

A few weeks ago we purchased a hamster (Bella) for our home, Big Bird has been desperate for pet for as long as I can remember so we decided to start small. I looked online for hamster cages and was surprised just how much they have changed since I was a littlegirl and had my little hamster … Hammy. There are so many different styles to choose from and we went for one that looked fun and interesting for Bella. Once the cage arrived I realised quite quickly we had made a mistake with the cage we had picked.

Mikey Digital

Just before Christmas an email popped into my inbox asking if I would like to review a Mikey Digital microphone from Blue. I wasn’t sure what Mikey was all about and when I looked into it I was surprised that it was perfect for recording your childrens school plays on your mobile phone. I always record everything that my children do at school, its a way of capturing moments you will never forget. I have always struggled with picking up the volume in the school hall on my phone so thought this gadget would be perfect for me to try out at school.

VAX Hard Floor Advance Steam Cleaner S3S

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Home and Garden

I have never denied my love for cleaning, its something I love doing and its some thing I do everyday. For years I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed my kitchen floor, then I invested in a floor mop but found that just has much work because of the bending over and pushing hard on the mop trying to bring the floor up sparkly and clean. Then I heard about fantastic new way to clean the floor that involved a steam cleaner.

photovaxI reviewed my first Vax Steam cleaner last year and fell in love with it instantly, I used it every week on my floors and loved how it glided round so easily. It was all going well until a few weeks ago when I tripped over the cable and smashed it, I was gutted!!!!
