Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Toys, The Birds

Little Bird is mad about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, he has a nice collection of their toys and he was really excited when a Ninja Turtle – Combat Warrior Michelangelo arrived on our doorstep to review. These crazy green turtles have kept Little Bird amused for hours and when he saw this Michelangelo I knew it would be a big hit with him.

The Wonderful World of …. Rubik

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Puzzle Club, Review - Toys

Do you remember playing with your first Rubik Cube?? I know I do, it was when I was a child and I received one for my birthday. I was obsessed with trying to crack the Rubiks code to get all the right colours on each side of the cube. I spent hours trying to crack it then hey presto I had worked it out. Unfortunately the way I discovered was not the way you were meant to do it. One night I realised that if I was careful I could peel the stickers off and put them all in the right places, ok yes I cheated but I was a kid. So imagine how excited me and the children were when we received a selection of Rubiks toys to review in the post.

A few months ago we where sent the Yvolution A3 Air Y Fliker to review and I do not know who was more excited me or the children. It arrived whilst the children were at school so how could I refuse putting it together and taking it for a spin around the block whilst they were out. I was eager to see how this worked, I had seen a few children on them at school but wanted to get to grips with it with out the children around.

New My Blue Nose Friends Characters

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Toys

We are big fans of My Blue Nose Friends toys in our house. Big Bird has been collecting them for a couple of years now, she has everything from the small little hard character playsets to the small soft cuddly teddies. She loves the soft teddies best and sleeps with them most nights. Her collection started with her favourite animal which is a monkey. Little Bird picked it for her birthday last year and it has grown into what it is today.

One World Futbol

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Toys

I was recently told about One World Futbol and was really interested to have a look at it. We were sent one to review and I couldn’t wait to see this unique football. The One World Futbol is set to liberate your lawn from flat footballs this Summer. It can outlast hundreds of regular balls, eliminating the waste of discarded, punctured soccer balls and the hassle of buying pumps and needles. This nearly indestructible football does not need a pump because it will never go flat – even when punctured multiple times.

Micro Scooters save the day

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Toys

We have been a massive fan of Micro Scooters for quite some time now, I have had my Micro Scooter for about two years and love nothing more than going out for a ride with the children. Its a great way to keep up with the children as they whizz around the streets and tracks having fun. I have had lots of comments about me on my scooter when I have been out with the children, most people think that I am using their scooters but I love filling them in and telling them that it is actually mine.

A few months ago we took all of the children to Ferry Meadows in Peterborough, its one of our favourite places to scoot round because of the long smooth tracks around the lakes its the perfect place to scootering. Mr M came with us but struggles to walk far because of a major knee injury that was caused by a skiing accident many years ago. He didn’t know how he would get on walking around the lakes whilst the children scooted so I took my Micro Scooter with me just in case he needed it. Its bright pink but half way around he was struggling to walk so he set to work chasing the children around the lakes on my scooter. He soon discovered that this was actually the perfect way for him to get about whilst having fun with the children.

SFR Typhoon Roller Skates

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Toys, The Birds

Big Bird picked up roller skating really easily, she started by going round the street holding onto a Little Tykes toy car and before she knew it, she was off. We now go regularly to our local leisure center where there is a large hall and a roller skating disco on every Sunday afternoon. Little Bird has been coming along with us and has been trying to skate using the hired out skate but they are not very good skates and he was beginning to give up. Then these arrived …….
