Oh yes they have arrived …….. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been shrunk down and transformed into Lego characters. Little Bird was really excited when he heard Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was now available in Lego. Little Bird is mad about Lego, its the one toy he spends hours building and then playing with, its funny how these little colourful bricks can keep someone amused for so long, especially my little man who finds it hard work to sit still.
You may have seen our review for the Wasgij Puzzle App that I did last week, if you did then you would see that I love the Wasgij puzzle range. I used to do these puzzles many years ago because they are hard, fun and get you to use your noodle. The idea of these puzzles are not to build your jigsaw on what you see but to build it on what happens next, there is a story behind each one.
A few weeks ago me and the children met up with a friend of mine and her children at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough so the kiddies could scoot around the lakes. As we were getting the scooters out of the car my friends son came over with his scooter he received for his birthday and said “watch this!” He scootered away from us and then came back at full speed and put his break on. The children stood in awe looking as his scooter sparking when he hit the break.
We recently received our next Lego box to review and Little Bird was over the moon when he spotted his favourite range on the top of the pile ….. Lego City. We were sent the Lego City Police (60046) Helicopter Surveillance to review and my little man couldn’t wait to get started with it.
A year ago Little Bird made a large Lego police helicopter from another set and he loved it and it soon became his favourite set and he spent hours playing with it. This police helicopter looks different to that one and has a few extra gadgets which I knew Little Bird would love.
Little bird is a big fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I remember these when I was little because my little brother was crazy about them. I love the fact they are back and the toys are bigger and better than they used to be. This week Little Bird was sent Raphael from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Battle Shell range to review and he couldn’t wait to get on with the job.
We are a family that love books, I love nothing more than settling down at night with a good book in my hand. The children have followed in my footsteps and also love reading especially at bedtime. Over the years their love for books has grown, Big Bird is an amazing reader I love listening to her at night when she is in bed because she pronounces and uses expressions beautifully when reading.
Two weeks ago we received some Rainbow Sorting Crayons to review from Learning Resources. They were sent to us to help Little Bird learn and develop the best that he can when he is at home with me. He loves sorting colours and making sure everything is in order so I knew this was a great product for him.
When this set arrived I was really surprised just how much was inside the box, it was not what I was expecting at all. There is 56 pieces to the Rainbow Sorting Crayons, it comes with 8 different coloured jumbo tubes where the lid can be placed ontop to make it look like a crayon. Each crayon holds 6 colour coordinated pieces, it really is a colourful way to sort and play. This set is designed for children aged 3 years + and even though Little Bird is 5 years old he loves it because its all about sorting out colours.
My little man loves nothing more than sorting toys, whether its colour, shape or size it all has to be in order. Last week we were sent Super Sorting Pie to review from Learning Resources and I knew he would love it. I set it up when he was at school so it was ready to play with when he walked through the door.
You must all know by now that we are big fans of My Blue Nose Friends toys in our house. Big Bird has been collecting them for a while now, she has built up an amazing collection of these small soft cuddly teddies and loves sleeping with them every night. Her collection started with her favourite animal which is a monkey then grew from there and she now enjoys collecting all the animals that are available.
