Dobble

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Board Games / Family Games

I came across a new card game at Christmas in July and I knew straight away that the children would love it. The game I am talking about is Dobble, for those of you that have not heard of Dobble allow me to fill you in. Dobble is a card game that is made up of 55 playing cards. Each card contains 8 symbols, there is only one identical symbol in common between each card, it is up to you to find out which one.

Dobble is a visual perception card game where players race to find the one matching image between one card and another. The images may be different sizes and placed on any part of the card, making them difficult to spot. The circular cards feature an assortment of colourful images of everyday items. Every card is unique and has only one picture in common with every other card in the deck.

There are 5 mini-games you can play with Dobble, all of them reliant on speedy observation, creating excitement for children and adults alike and keeping every player involved:

• Fill the Well
• The Towering Inferno
• Hot Potato
• Catch them all
• The Poisoned Gift

The children and myself love Dobble, we play it every night before bed and the winner gets to pick the story that night. Dobble is a great family game, its designed for children aged 6 years old +, its a game that lasts as long as you want it to. Little Bird is 5 years old and he loves it although he is not as fast as me and Big Bird so I do try and help him where I can. We would recommend this card game, its definitely one we will get out on Christmas day to play with the family. You can currently buy Dobble on Amazon for £9.74.
