Living in a five bedroom house comes at a cost and I am not talking about money. I am talking about time that I spend cleaning it, because its a big house it means I spend many hours each week cleaning all of our three floors. As soon as I have cleaned the house from top to bottom the children normally follow me around trashing it behind me. When we have all of the children home at a weekend I can spend most of my time when I am not entertaining them picking up and cleaning after them. So image my excitement when I got the opportunity to review the new Gtech Multi, I have been putting it through it paces the last few weeks and here is how I got on.
The Gtech Multi is an innovation in cordless vacuuming, with the attachments from the upright Gtech vacuum and great cleaning performance all rolled into a cordless hand-held solution. You can now change the way you clean forever, faster, easier and more convenient.
The Gtech Multi lightweight hand-held vacuum is specially designed to clean the hard to reach places in your home, with a powerful motor and the high airflow needed to make short work of edges, stairs, upholstery or even the car interior.
The Power Brush Head makes clearing pet hair from carpets and upholstery a breeze, as well as taking the hassle away from cleaning the stairs.
I have come across the Gtech products before because my parents have them, when they first got them my mum rung me to come round and try them out. I was really impressed with the upright vacuum so I knew I would like the Gtech Multi. My first impressions of the Gtech Multi when it arrived was … “wow.” It was boxed really well, everything was neatly displayed as you opened the lid. I could not wait to get it out the box and put it on charge.
The Gtech is small but mighty with the added bonus of it being lightweight, there is lots of features on here that I love but my favourite has to be the comfortable hand grip (see above), shaped especially for hands its perfect for a good comfortable grip. My favourite attachment has to be the Power Brush Head, its fast rotating roller picks up really well and makes easy work of my two flights of stairs. I love using the Gtech on the stairs best it has no cables to get in your way and I can do all of the stairs in no time at all.
The Power Brush Head as I said is my favourite attachment, when I need a small area of the lounge vacuuming its perfect for me to use without having to get out my heavy lumpy vacuum and plug it in. I often get abit carried away and end up doing the whole of my lounge on my hands and knees just because I love feeling the suction on the carpet and I like the satisfaction knowing I have got everything up quickly and easily.
Because the Gtech Multi is small and lightweight it makes it easy for children to use. Little Bird loves using it around the house and this weekend whilst the sun was out he decided he wanted to vacuum out my car. I’m very encouraging of having the children help out around the house so I let him go wild when hes in the mood for it. Little Bird finds it as easy to use as I do and like me he loves the light that comes on when you are vacuuming. This has proven to be very helpful when the weather is dull outside and its dark on my stairs, I do not need any extra lights on during the day as the Gtech not only cleans up but it also lights the way.
The Gtech Multi runs on a professional grade 22V Lithium-ion battery. One 4-hour charge delivers up to 20 minutes of cordless vacuum cleaning and an hour charge will deliver a burst of additional running time. The handle has a 4-stage LED display which indicates how much charge is left in the battery.
If you are looking to purchase the Gtech Multi you will be looking to pay around £149.99 prices may vary depending on where you shop.
