Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Lego

Roooooooooaaaaaaarrrrr ….. Have you heard the news??? There is a Brand New Lego range out in the shops to buy now!! So allow me to introduce to you the new Lego Jurassic World range.

Little Bird spotted the Lego Jurassic World range when he was watching television last week, the range was advertised in the break of the programme he was watching. When Little Bird spotted it he shouted me at the top of his voice “Mum, come here quick.” I ran to the lounge thinking he had hurt himself but I was greeted but him pointing and jumping up and down whilst the television was paused. “Look Mum the do a Lego Jurassic World range, it looks AWESOME!!!”

Unbeknown to Little Bird he already had a Jurassic World Lego Set on the way to him in the post to review. I do not normally tell Little Bird when a Lego set is coming because he gets inpatient and will ask me every day “is it here yet?” I knew it was on its way and I knew he was going to like it.

We were sent the Lego 75917 Jurassic World Raptor Rampage to review and when it arrived Little Bird went crazy and started jumping around the room. All he kept saying was “I saw this on the Telly!” Little Bird could not wait to get on with the Raptor Rampage. This Lego set comes with two dinosaurs which both me and Little Bird love, we love it when there is a new characters or creatures to build, and these dinosaurs are awesome.

The Raptor Rampage set comes with three minifigures – an ACU trooper, Owen and Claire, each one has a weapon and comes with an assortment of accessories. The mobile vet unit features a driver’s cockpit where one minifigure can keep look out, it has a rear door that can open up for easy access to the mobile vet unit. Little Boys will love this, I know Little Bird does.

This set is designed for children aged 6-12 years old, Little Bird completed it in about an hour, he is a master builder and had no problems with it at all. He loves the the Raptors, each one stands 2″ tall and have posable arms, legs, neck and snapping jaws, plus they both come with raptor headgear elements. As soon as ours were built they were chomping on the Lego manual.

I love the above photograph, I was trying to get a photo of the completed set but Little Bird was itching to play with it. I have only just noticed that the dinosaur on the left has ACU’s helmet in his mouth. Little Bird must have done that when I was not looking …. cheeky!!!

Little Bird loves this range and now that is collection of Lego Jurassic World has started he has already decided which set he wants next, luckily he got some money for his birthday so this weekend I will be taking him out to get another set because that all he keeps talking about.
