Zoingo Boingo

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - Toys

When I was offered the opportunity to review the Zoingo Boingo we literally jumped at the chance. Instantly memories from my childhood came flooding back to me of when I was little bouncing around the park on my Pogo Ball it was called back in my day. The Zoingo Boingo is like the old Pogo balls but it has a stretchy attachment and handle. Its definitely a new way to have fun and keep fit at the same time.

Surprise …….

Written by mummybird. Posted in The Birds

The last weekend in February was approaching fast and I knew I was running out of time. I had big plans up my sleeve and I had to get things ready because I was not going to wait another 4 years for this date to come around again. Four weeks ago I received a text offering me an amazing deal on a weekend away at our favourite place so I took the bull by the horns and booked it, I then rang Mr M and told him that we were going away for a long weekend and he needed to book two half days off of work. What HE did not know was this weekend was about change our lives forever.

So three weeks ago myself and Mr M went away for a romantic break we jumped into the car Friday afternoon, had a quick stop at the hospital on the way for an appointment about his impending knee surgery that he was having in a couple of weeks and then we headed off to the coast. We arrived at our accommodation around tea time and jumped straight into the hot tub to relax and unwind. We sat in there for hours chatting and laughing under the stars surrounded by nothing but trees and darkness and this man had no idea what was about to come.

Our Weekend of Pain

Written by mummybird. Posted in The Birds

On Friday last week Mr M went into hospital for an operation on his knee. He was the first one into day surgery that day and I think he must have been the first one kicked out of hospital that afternoon. At 1pm I picked Mr M up from hospital ready to bring him home so he could rest, he has had major surgery on his knee again following a skiing accident he had 8 years ago. I managed to get him home ok but as soon as his bum hit the bed in the lounge that I had made up for him he has not been able to move.

Written by mummybird. Posted in Review, Review - DVD's

Join Maya The Bee and friends on digital download and DVD as it hits the shops tomorrow. Maya is a busy little bee, ready to leave her hive and live in the meadow. The world is just too big and too fascinating to remain confined to the restricted life of the hive. But soon Maya realises that a bigger challenge beckons and that together with her friend Willy, she must return and save their hive from the greedy queen’s advisor and end the long-term hostility between bees and hornets. This is your chance to join Maya and her friends as they set off on their “un-bee-lievable” adventures.

What we have been waiting for …..

Written by mummybird. Posted in ASD, The Birds

At the beginning of December last year we had our appointment at the hospital to find out where Little Bird sits on the ASD scale. It had been a long wait to get this appointment but after 2 years we were pleased it was finally here. The hospital met Little Bird for a 45 minute assessment where he was asked questions whilst they played with him. I do not really know what happened in that room as Little Bird did not talk about it afterwards but he came out happy and was not phased by the meeting at all.

A week later I went back to the hospital for an intense meeting to talk about my boy. I was at the hospital for about 4 hours and I was surprised to learn when I arrived that before I left that day I would have a diagnosis.

Another Project 365 Complete so Bring on 2016

Written by mummybird. Posted in The Birds

I can’t believe it I have actually completed my third year of Project 365. I’m not going to lie I definitely struggled with it last year, it was hard remembering to post everyday but I carried on taking the photos and would do a big catch up when I had time to sit down. It was hard work and towards the end of the year I nearly threw the towel in and gave up so many times. Every time I thought about quitting I made myself catch up, after all I’m not the kind of person to give up on something I have started, I am stubborn like that.
